So here's my new post...
I have been wanting a farm style table for so long. And so I'm going to try to put one together.
A few I found that I really adore are here:
(this one is a 2 plank top, I love how it looks, don't you? I like the natural wood top and painted base)
(this one is perfectly chippy and white all around - oh la la!)
(I imagine this will be how my table turns out, do you love it?)
(Oh how I love the look of the wood with the white chair, just the one white chair!)
So... Here I go!
I got the base from a local guy for $20. I loved the legs. I imagined that I could cut the middle part of the base out to make it a four legged base. I don't think it will cause any issues with the stability of the table. So that's what I will do. Here is the table I bought, just as is when I bought it:
I cut out the middle of the legs where that big decorative piece is, don't worry though! I have plans for it too. If you know me, I don't throw many woods pieces out.
So here is the table as I start it. I bought some Heart Pine Boards for the top.
And here are the transformations:
Going to have to cut it off a bit! I just don't like how long it is on the overhang. Back to work I go...
ok much better. Even G'son #2 takes a look. I think he approves. But of course when you ask him, he says NO! Everything is NO.
I bought some bonder and milk paint from a local gal. Here's where you can check it out: Stephanie's Milk Paint. Her website is called Wildflowers & Pistols, isn't that cute? I bought "Cream" paint to go on the base. I'll add pictures of it tomorrow when I get it painted.
