Christmas in Kannapolis

I'd love to be with all of my family, live close to them, and most of all those feelings are even stronger during this time of the year.
All the things the grand children do, the questions they ask, the baking that they so enjoy...
The list goes on and on.

To help my daughters with last minute things they want to try to do. To take candid photos of everything going on....

Alas, instead I make a Christmas for myself.

Decorate and fluff and bake some yummy food.

Invite some sweet friends over.

Enjoy some time together.

Eat some yummy treats.

And play Dirty Santa.

And know in your heart that you are loved, and you have lots to offer, and wonderful times lie ahead. Sometimes it's a little difficult to make it through this time of year. And with things weighing heavy on your heart sometimes it gets a little overwhelming.
So reach out to your friends that are nearby. Make them closer in your heart. Know that they love you.
And before you know it, you will have made it through.

If you or anyone in your family or circle of friends is the slightest bit lonely or depressed this Holiday Season, reach out to them with this simple message, "You are loved".

Merry Christmas Friends!!!

Shots from around my home this Christmas Month.

  2. Hi Jen,

A great post you've written. It's all so true. I traveled my entire life until I moved here less than 3 years ago. I have some acquaintances but no friends.{yet} It's so very hard to meet anyone with common interest so I'm a homebody that thanks God that I have my Thomas as my best friend. I really have no family either so I do get scared at times wondering who will help me should I lose my Thomas one day. Things that you don't want to think about but could happen.

I know that God put you here with a mission. Funny how we never know what it is til it's right in front of us and we just know things are right all of a sudden. Good things are going to happen for you, Jen.

Your home for now looks nice and cozy. I love the tree. If you go to my blog you will see the pink and the white trees I bought from you. ;0)

    Hugs,
    Stephanie ♥

  7. I realize I'm reading your post and writing this after Christmas but I so understand. My parents are dead, my sister lives far away (and celebrated alone, sad face), my son is 18 and not into Christmas at all. I realize I decorate the house for myself and no one cares about presents but me. Next year, I resolve to have friends over to share in my Christmas cheer and be more involved in more things! I hope you had a Merry Little Christmas and will have a lovely New Year!
